Under the Louisiana Public Records Law, the public has the right to request certain public records from the Sheriff’s Office. While most records are available, there are certain restrictions and exemptions that might preclude an immediate or any release of the information.

Requests may be made through USPS mail, email, by phone, or in person at UPSO. The following information is needed to process requests: requestor’s name, contact phone number, date, location, and type of report (crash, arrest, etc.) Please allow five (5) business days to complete requests, once all required information is received.
Fee schedule:
State Crash Report: $15.00
Vehicle Incident Report: $10.00
Other Reports: $10.00
Reports over five pages are an additional $1.00 per page.
Printed Photos:
Paper copies: $1 per page
Physical Media:
CDs or Digital Media: $10.00 each
